A single, finished piece of writing — a landing page, an email sequence, a manifesto, an investor narrative, a long-form essay — delivered in two weeks by the same two writers from brief to final word. The Quill is for the moment you have one important thing to write well, and you would rather pay once to have it written well than three times to have it rewritten.

Everything below is in the engagement letter. Nothing surprising appears later.

  • II Voice and audience worksheet — two pages, signed off before any writing begins
  • III Three editorial routes for the opening — distinct angles on the same brief
  • IV Full draft of the piece by end of week one, copy-edited by a second writer
  • V One round of revision with the client; a second round if material new information arrives
  • VI Final delivery as a clean Google Doc, a Markdown file, and the print-ready PDF where relevant
  • VII Hand-off note explaining the decisions: what we said and what we deliberately chose not to say
  • VIII Ten working days of light post-launch revision once the piece is live

How it runs.

Brief

Brief

The first call is ninety minutes. We listen, we ask twice, we write down everything in a brief that you sign off before the engagement clock starts. No writing begins until the brief is closed.

Routes

Routes

End of day three we send three opening routes — three different ways the piece could begin and three different arguments it could make. You pick one. Sometimes we pick a fourth together on the call.

Draft

Draft

End of week one the full draft is in your inbox, copy-edited by the second writer. You read it twice. We hold the line on a single round of revision unless real new information has appeared since the brief was signed.

Final

Final

End of week two we deliver the final piece as a clean Google Doc, a Markdown file, and a print-ready PDF where relevant. The hand-off note is a separate document; it explains what we said and what we chose not to say.

Aftercare

Aftercare

For ten working days after delivery we hold studio time for the small fixes you only notice once the piece is in front of real readers.
